ABOUT THIS CATEGORY

One Wire Rod, Four Product Lines

Factories pull thick wire rods through progressively narrower dies to draw them into finished wire products, commercial-grade Torkari rod for light fabrication, Hard Bright wire left stiff and polished for mesh and fencing, and thermally annealed Binding Wire softened specifically for tying rebar joints.

Our wire rods undergo strict metallurgical testing to ensure pure chemical consistency throughout the coil, preventing wire snaps during rapid drawing.

WHAT IS IT?

A Giant Steel Slinky, Straight From the Mill

A wire rod is a long, hot steel rod rolled down from a solid steel billet and wound into a heavy coil that looks like a giant slinky toy. It is the pure raw material used by factories to make all types of wires, nails, and bolts.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Torkari Rods, Common Questions

What is Torkari rod, exactly?

"Torkari" is a trade term for commercial-grade wire rod made from re-rolled steel, a cost-effective alternative when premium high-carbon mill testing isn't required.

What sizes are available?

5.5mm and 6mm, best suited to small local workshop drawing, agricultural tie rods, bucket handles and light decorative ironwork.

How does Torkari differ from primary wire rod stock?

Primary wire rod stock is virgin mill material with full metallurgical certification; Torkari is re-rolled commercial-grade stock, priced lower for applications where mill-grade testing isn't required.

Hard Bright (HB) Rigid Wires

4 SWG to 11 SWG polished, unannealed wire for grilles, fencing and concrete nails.

4 – 11 SWG HB WIRE RIGID
View Specifications Hide Specifications
Product Overview

Cold-drawn stiff and shiny, a wire that holds its shape under pressure.

Key Specifications
Gauge: 4–11 SWG
Finish: Bright Polished
Packing: 50–500kg
Common Applications
  • Security Grilles
  • Chain-Link Fencing
  • Concrete Nails
  • Floor Gratings
WHAT IS IT?

Drawn Cold, Left Rigid and Polished

When a hot wire rod is pulled cold through a small die, two things happen: it becomes thinner, and its outer surface becomes smooth, shiny, and stiff. This is Hard Bright (HB) wire, a rigid steel wire with a polished metallic finish.

PRIMARY PURPOSE & BEST USE CASES

Stiff by Design, Not by Accident

HB wire is unannealed (meaning it has not been softened by heat), so it stays stiff and holds its shape under pressure.

Thick Gauges (4 SWG & 6 SWG, ~5.9 to 4.9 MM)

Best for heavy security grilles, industrial floor gratings, and heavy hooks.

Medium Gauges (7 SWG & 8 SWG, ~4.5 to 4.1 MM)

Best for manufacturing concrete nails, chain-link security fencing, and display stands.

Fine Gauges (9 SWG, 10 SWG & 11 SWG, ~3.7 to 2.9 MM)

Best for standard wire nails, panel pins, shopping trolleys, and kitchen baskets.

Clean, bright, polished metal finish
Packaging
50 KG to 500 KG bundles

Why Choose Our HB Wires?

Our HB wires feature a clean, oil-free bright surface that accepts chrome plating, powder coating, and electric spot-welding without blistering.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HB Wires, Common Questions

How does wire gauge (SWG) work?

Standard Wire Gauge (SWG) works in reverse: the smaller the gauge number, the thicker the wire! For example, a 4 SWG wire is nearly 6 MM thick, while an 11 SWG wire is under 3 MM.

What gauge is best for chain-link security fencing?

7 SWG and 8 SWG (roughly 4.1 to 4.5mm) are best for manufacturing concrete nails, chain-link security fencing and display stands.

How is HB wire packaged?

In 50 KG to 500 KG bundles, sized to your order volume.

04

Thermal Annealed Binding Wires

16 SWG to 23 SWG soft matte-black wire for tying TMT rebar joints on-site.

16 – 23 SWG BINDING WIRE SOFT ANNEALED
View Specifications Hide Specifications
Product Overview

The soft, matte-black wire that knots rebar joints tight, twist after twist.

Key Specifications
Gauge: 16–23 SWG
Pre-Cut: 12" & 14" (20 SWG)
Finish: Matte Black
Common Applications
  • Rebar Tying
  • Foundation Bundling
  • Slab & Column Joints
  • Box Strapping
WHAT IS IT?

Baked Soft, On Purpose

If you try to twist a stiff HB wire with pliers, it will snap. To fix this, cold-drawn wire is baked in an oxygen-free furnace. This heat treatment (called thermal annealing) strips away stiffness, leaving behind an ultra-soft, flexible matte-black wire.

Soft annealed binding wire coils tagged and ready for dispatch
PRIMARY PURPOSE & BEST USE CASES

Knotting Rebar, Joint by Joint

Binding wire is used on construction sites to knot overlapping TMT bars together before concrete is poured.

16 SWG & 18 SWG

Best for tying heavy TMT rebars (20 MM+) in foundations and bundling heavy jobsite items.

20 SWG (12" & 14" Pre-Cut Lengths)

Best for quick hand-tying of standard slab and column rebar joints using a tying hook.

22 SWG & 23 SWG

Best for light wire weaving, craft uses, and warehouse box strapping.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

Clean, Scannable Parameters

Available Standard Gauges
16 SWG, 18 SWG, 22 SWG, 23 SWG
Pre-Cut Speed-Tying Lengths
20 SWG in pre-cut 12" and 14" bundles
Finish
Matte black thermal finish with anti-rust oil coating

Why Choose Our Binding Wire?

Our binding wire is engineered with a high elongation index. Site workers can twist knots repeatedly with pliers without the wire snapping mid-turn, speeding up slab rebar tying.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Binding Wire, Common Questions

How does wire gauge (SWG) work?

Standard Wire Gauge (SWG) works in reverse: the smaller the gauge number, the thicker the wire! A 16 SWG binding wire is noticeably thicker than a 23 SWG wire.

Which gauge should I use for a 20mm+ column bar?

16 SWG or 18 SWG are the standard choice for tying heavy TMT rebars of 20mm and above in foundations.

Do you supply pre-cut lengths for faster tying?

Yes, 20 SWG is available in pre-cut 12" and 14" bundles for quick hand-tying of standard slab and column rebar joints with a tying hook.
