WHAT IS IT?

Ribbon Paper, Cut From a Master Roll

Imagine a roll of wide ribbon paper cut into narrower strips. Slit steel strips are long, thin ribbons of steel wound into tight circular rolls (coils). They are made by taking wide master steel coils and precision-slicing them lengthwise using sharp rotary blades.

PRIMARY PURPOSE & BEST USE CASES

Feeding the Next Machine in Line

Factory machines feed these continuous steel ribbons directly into stamping presses or tube-rolling mills to make small hardware automatically.

Light Gauges (1.2 MM to 1.8 MM)

Best for manufacturing electrical junction boxes, cable trays, door hinges, and thin steel tubing.

Medium Gauges (2.0 MM to 2.8 MM)

Best for rolling structural ERW box pipes, stamping automotive brackets, and furniture hardware.

Heavy Gauges (3.0 MM to 3.5 MM)

Best for manufacturing heavy structural profiles, agricultural equipment parts, and heavy brackets.

WHY CHOOSE OUR SLIT STEEL STRIPS?

Burr-Free Edges Keep Fast Lines Running

We use high-precision rotary slitting machines tuned to run on pure steel coil, so every strip you get is engineered to feed straight into your line, no jams, no rework, no wasted machine time.

  • Razor-Sharp, Burr-Free EdgesPrecision rotary slitting leaves no rag or burr, so high-speed stamping and roll-forming lines run without jamming or die damage.
  • Tight Width & Gauge ToleranceHeld consistently across 78mm to 240mm widths and 1.2mm to 3.5mm thicknesses, for repeatable fit through your punching and forming dies.
  • HR & CR Coil, Mill Test CertifiedSlit to order from hot-rolled or cold-rolled parent coil, with every bulk shipment backed by official mill test certificates.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Slit Steel Strips, Common Questions

What is the difference between Hot-Rolled (HR) and Cold-Rolled (CR) steel?

Hot-rolled steel is pressed at high temperatures (over 1,000°C), making it ductile and cost-effective for heavy structural beams and rebar. Cold-rolled steel is processed at room temperature after hot rolling, giving it precise millimeter tolerances, smoother surfaces, and higher yield strength, ideal for precision strips and tubes.

What width range do you slit strip coil to?

From narrow 78mm widths up to wide 240mm widths, in three width bands, each available across a range of thicknesses from 1.2mm up to 3.5mm.

Will these strips jam in my automatic stamping line?

Our rotary slitting machines produce razor-sharp, burr-free edges specifically to prevent jams in high-speed automatic factory machinery.
