ABOUT THIS CATEGORY

Three Shapes, One ERW Line, Plus Scaffolding

Round tubes distribute load equally in all directions, making them ideal for handrails and load-bearing posts. Square Hollow Sections trade that for flat faces that are far easier to weld and bolt. Rectangular Hollow Sections go a step further, with a tall axis that resists sagging under one-directional load. Scaffolding & staging pipe puts the same round and SHS profiles to work as thick-walled, load-tested towers for working at height.

All four share the same ERW manufacturing line and are tested rigorously for chemical composition and mechanical properties before dispatch.

WHAT IS IT?

A Continuous Weld Seam, Rolled Into a Circle

Round structural tubes are hollow steel pipes made by rolling flat steel strips into a circle and welding the seam continuously using electricity (ERW). Because circles distribute weight equally in all directions, round tubes are incredibly strong against twisting and squeezing forces.

Why Choose Our Round Tubes?

Our ERW round tubes feature smooth, flattened internal weld seams. This means couplers and fittings slide over them effortlessly without snagging or jamming.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Round Tubes, Common Questions

Which round tube size fits standard scaffolding couplers?

Our 1.25" (42 OD) and 1.5" (48 OD) series are the sizes most commonly used for staircase handrails, safety barriers and modular scaffolding towers.

What is the maximum wall thickness available?

Wall thickness runs from 1.2mm up to 3.2mm depending on diameter, heavier gauges are used in the 2" and 2.5" series for structural pillars.

Do fittings and couplers fit smoothly over the weld seam?

Yes, our ERW process leaves a smooth, flattened internal weld seam so couplers and fittings slide over the tube without snagging or jamming.

WHAT IS IT?

Hollow Steel Building Blocks

Square Hollow Sections, often called "box pipes", are hollow steel tubes with four equal flat sides and square corners. They look like long, hollow wooden building blocks made of steel.

PRIMARY PURPOSE & BEST USE CASES

Flat Faces, Easier Fabrication

Because all four sides are flat, SHS box pipes are much easier to weld, drill, and attach to flat walls than round pipes.

Why Choose Our SHS Box Pipes?

Our square box pipes are manufactured with uniform radiused corners. This prevents stress concentrations at the edges, giving your structures a clean, modern aesthetic.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

SHS Box Pipes, Common Questions

What SHS size is best for a warehouse shed column?

2" and 2.5" boxes (48×48mm, 50×50mm and 60×60mm) are best for warehouse shed columns, roof trusses and heavy machine frames.

Why choose SHS over round tube for gates and grills?

Flat faces make SHS box pipe much easier to weld, drill and attach to flat walls than round pipe, which is why it's the default choice for grills, gates and racking.

What is the lightest SHS profile you supply?

Our lightest profile is 25×25mm, used for window security grills, school desks and light metal furniture.

03

Rectangular Hollow Sections (RHS)

25×50mm to 80×40mm box pipes, stringers, trailer beds, rack beams and roof purlins.

WHAT IS IT?

A Brick-Shaped Hollow Section

Rectangular Hollow Sections are hollow steel box pipes where two sides are wider than the other two (like a brick shape).

Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS) pipes tagged and stacked in the warehouse
PRIMARY PURPOSE & BEST USE CASES

Built for One-Directional Load

RHS pipes are designed for places where weight pushes down heavily from one direction. The tall vertical sides resist sagging much better than a square pipe of the same steel weight.

Small RHS (25×50 MM)

Best for door frames, window shutters, and metal railing posts.

Medium RHS (38×58 MM & 75×25 MM)

Best for staircase side stringers, vehicle trailer beds, and warehouse rack beams.

Large RHS (80×40 MM)

Best for long-span roof purlins, mezzanine floor joists, and truck chassis rails.

Why Choose Our RHS Box Pipes?

By choosing RHS box pipes for long horizontal spans, you get maximum load resistance while using less steel weight, saving thousands on raw material costs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

RHS Box Pipes, Common Questions

When should I choose RHS instead of SHS?

RHS is designed for one-directional load, its tall vertical sides resist sagging much better than a square pipe of the same steel weight, making it the better choice for long horizontal spans like purlins and joists.

What size RHS suits a truck chassis rail?

Our largest profile, 80×40mm, is best for long-span roof purlins, mezzanine floor joists and truck chassis rails.

What is the weight range across the RHS series?

From 8.5 KG per pipe for the smallest 25×50mm profile up to 30 KG per pipe for the largest 80×40mm profile.
