SHAKAMBHARI ISPAT & POWER LTD (SIPL)

M/s Shakambhari Ispat & Power Ltd (SIPL) was incorporated in 2001 in the name of Ma Chhinnamastika Steel & Power Pvt Ltd. The name had been changed to Ma Chhinnamastika Steel & Power Ltd in 2002. Subsequently, after the change in ownership and management, the name has been further changed to Shakambhari Ispat & Power Ltd. in 2010.

The company was taken over by the present management at the enterprise value of Rs.66 Crores. Due to continuing losses, the earlier management had closed down the plant and allowed its productive assets to waste. The company, after infusion of managerial expertise and finance by the present management, is now one of the leading manufacturers of Iron & Steel Products in eastern India with an Integrated Steel Plant and Cogeneration Power Producing Facility. The facilities of the plant include Sponge Iron, Induction Furnace with a continuous casting machine (CCM), re-rolled products and captive power generating plant. 

Thermocon Fe600 rebar is presently produced at this plant. The facilities permit the processing from ore to finished products at the plant in an integrated manner.
